Ryan found his love for music and performance arts at a young age. As a child Ryan performed across North America as a singer in The Stratford Boys Choir and as an actor at the Stratford Festival of Canada. Even then it wasn't just one aspect that captivated him; he wanted to know how everything worked, was put together, and produced.

Ryan explored his musical talents first. He started his journey as a musician in 1988 learning a variety of instruments. Ryan has played drums, bass, and piano for bands professionally up until this current year.

After graduating high school, Ryan set out to make music the main drive of his life. During this time he met his mentor Jay Riehl. After co-oping with Jay, he attended OIART and graduated from the facility in 2000. Following his graduation, Ryan traveled with many bands and worked as an engineer at The Swamp (Stratford) for a few years. In the years spent on the road and working with Jay Riehl, Ryan learned the amazing world of production and musicianship.

After some time, Ryan became business partners with Jay at The Swamp. The Swamp in Stratford is remembered for its success in working with a variety of musicians, groups, and performance institutions including Emerson Drive, Cynthia Dale and Justin Bieber, and The Stratford Festival Theatre.  It was a master studio and the music created will be everlasting.

Now begins a new chapter.  Scary Gnome Productions is ready for all your media needs.
